Avalanche Skills Course 2 (ASC2) - On Foot

- Duración: 4 Días (aproximadamente)
- Ubicación: Queenstown, Otago
- Código de producto: PSWVTK
The course is 4 days, meeting at Basecamp Adventures Queenstown each morning at 8.30am. We are running two courses in Winter 2026: one on foot and one on touring equipment. Both courses are suitable for people who have completed ASC1 previously, gained some experience in the backcountry, and are now ready for a deeper understanding of the avalanche phenomenon. It will be taught as a mixture of theory and practical, with emphasis on getting into the snow environment each day to learn. The 'On Foot' course will use snowshoes, or crampons to hike across the snow. Perfect for aspiring mountaineers, alpine trampers or hunters, who have used crampons and ice axe previously (if you have not, please book onto one of our Intro to Winter Mountaineering Courses prior to the ASC2). All equipment will be provided.
